Allan E. Ray, 72, of Butler passed away Saturday at his home.

He was born Dec. 9, 1936, in Butler, the son of the late Harrison Ray and Elizabeth (Roberts) Ray.

Allan retired from Penn Champ.

Surviving are three daughters, Debbie Waldenville, Lisa and Steve Harrel and Dawn and Ross Blackwell, all of Butler; two sons, Daniel and Cathy Ray and Jeff and Karen Ray both of Butler; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Doris Forcht, Milly Ray, Twila and Carl Devore and Lucille Ray, all of Butler and Sandra and Paul Hetrick of Whitefield, N.C.; and two brothers, Lewis Ray and Alvin and Joanne Ray, both of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gwendolyn Pearl (Baughman) Ray, who died Dec. 13, 1999; and a brother, Robert Ray.

<B>RAY</B> — A memorial service for Allan E. Ray, who died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at <B>Young Funeral Home Ltd.</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with Pastor Jeffrey T.
