1:05 p.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Tashema S. Johnson, 29, of Butler jumped the curb on Bell Drive near Hollywood Drive. Johnson was not injured and was cited for driving too fast for conditions.5:45 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Norman B. Peak of Butler was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle at the intersection of Hansen Avenue and Fairground Hill. The suspect vehicle was a red pickup. Peak was not injured.

8:43 p.m. Thursday — Sonja Wilson, 35, of Portersville was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to steal merchandise from Wal-Mart in Butler Commons.7 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Teresa Howard, 43, of Butler was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on New Castle Road in front of Butler Commons. A white male was driving the vehicle, described by police as a dark-colored conversion van with white stripes. Any one with information can call police at 724-285-9600.5:35 p.m. Thursday — Andrea M. Allen, 18, of Butler was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to steal merchandise from Wal-Mart in Butler Commons.7:30 a.m. Thursday — Someone stole three samurai swords valued at $900 and belonging to Russell Houk of Cabot from his Edgewood Drive residence between 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday. The burglar also took a black Motorola page valued at $400 and a black Motorola portable radio valued at $800, both belonging to the Winfield Township Volunteer Fire Department, of which Houk is a member. Anyone with information can call police at 724-284-8100.8:03 p.m. Wednesday — Marvin Bronowicz, 54, of Glenshaw was charged with DUI following a traffic stop on Pittsburgh Road.8:19 p.m. Sept. 25 — Sherell E. Hindman was charged with DUI after the car she was driving crashed into a tree along Route 138 in Washington Township. Hindman was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries following the accident.

Thursday — Christopher Tyner, 60, of Grove City was charged with bad checks after he allegedly wrote a check to the borough on an account that had insufficient funds.6 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Debra L. Hoffman, 24, of Grove City was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on East Main Street near Maple Street. The suspect vehicle, which rear-ended Hoffman's car then fled, was a gold, older model Saturn or Pontiac. Hoffman was not injured.2 p.m. Thursday — Someone broke into a house at 331 Lincoln Avenue, stealing several items between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday. Anyone with information can call police at 724-458-7925.

Oct. 9 — Police filed drunken driving charges against David Edward Craig, 51, of Donegal Township stemming from an Oct. 3 traffic stop on Bonniebrook Road near Portman Road in Summit Township.Police said while on patrol about 1:25 a.m. they found Craig's sport utility vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. They suspected he was impaired and had him undergo field sobriety tests, which he allegedly failed.

11:49 a.m. Friday — A pickup driven by Mark H. Wilson, 22, of Renfrew and a car driven by Cindy S. Suber, 49, of Portersville collided on Young Road in Slippery Rock Township.2 p.m. Oct. 9 — Someone entered the Centerville Pike residence of Vicki J. Brendlinger in Plain Grove Township, and stole a 35 mm digital camera between 7 p.m. Oct. 2 and 2 p.m. Oct. 9.
