Virgil and Dorothy Galante

Virgil and Dorothy Galante of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a dinner with family and friends Sunday at Tanglewood.

Galante married the former Dorothy Baccanti on Oct. 3, 1959, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

They have three children, Mark Galante, John Galante and Jeanine Galante, all of Butler. They also have three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Galante is retired from Slippery Rock University. He enjoys golf, bowling and watching Butler High School sports.

Mrs. Galante worked at Hallmark Stores and the Butler County Children's Center kitchen. She belongs to a card club, TOPS and the Coins Bowling League.The Galantes attend St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
