Ferrere 60th anniversary
Regis and Anna Ferrere of Forestville celebrated 60 years of marriage Sept. 27 with a Mass at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church and a party at Creative Catering.
Mr. Ferrere died Oct. 3.
Ferrere married the former Anna Kale on Oct. 1, 1949, at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Forestville.
They have seven children, Regis Ferrere of Forestville, Joyce Flinner of Prospect, Karen Schmidt of Spring, Texas, Paula Maloney of Greenville, Ronald Ferrere of Butler, Rita Ferrere of Forestville and Diane Merkle of Grove City.
They also have four grandchildren.
Mr. Ferrere was retired from the U.S. Steel sintering plant in Saxonburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.Mrs. Ferrere is a homemaker. She enjoys cooking, baking and canning food. She also enjoys playing bingo.The Ferreres are members of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, where Mr. Ferrere was the bell ringer and Mrs. Ferrere belonged to the former Christian Mothers group.
