Juliann Hughey of Mars has been selected as a member of the choir at Mount Union College, Alliance, Ohio, where she is studying German.One of five choral organizations at the college, the Mount Union Choir is the premiere choral ensemble. Chosen by audition, choir members maintain a schedule of daily rehearsals, regular sectionals, invitational concerts and tour performances.–––––
Brandy Neely of Prospect received an undergraduate research grant from Westminster College's Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.Neely is one of six Westminster College senior molecular biology majors to receive a grant. She is studying gene expression and rates of digit formation during salamander limb regeneration.A graduate of Slippery Rock High School, she is the daughter of Yvonne Neely of Prospect and Jeffrey Neely.–––––Fourteen students at Butler High School have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their achievement on AP Exams.

Jason Clouse qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken and earning grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
