Bessie Andrews
Bessie Klutinoty Andrews, 95, of Bellingham, Wash., passed away Aug. 13.
She was born Sept. 10, 1913, in Butler to Anthony and Fanio (Kanelos) Klutinoty.
Bessie was an excellent mother to her four children, who she loved equally. She helped raise her two nephews and was the caregiver for her father and mother-in-law.
Her father, Tony, founded the Hot Dog Sandwich Shop in Butler, which remained in the family for 92 years. In the 1950s, they were the largest user of Heinz Ketchup products in the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; brothers, Jim and George; and son-in-law, Ron Lantz.
Bessie is survived by her daughters, Elaine (Martin) Bilowich and Fontaine Lantz; sons, Stuart (Sally) and Anthony (Christina); 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
