Francis 'Frank' Walter
Francis M. "Frank" Walter, 83, of Mushrush Road passed away at 5:43 p.m. Thursday in his home.
Born on the North Side, Pittsburgh, March 8, 1926, he was the son of the late Francis B. Walter and Rose Ann Carr Walter.
Mr. Walter was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus 3907 in Wexford.
He was a retired engineer.
Mr. Walter was married to Margaret Rose Austin Walter, and she preceded him in death July 22, 1985.
He is survived by five sons, Francis M. Walter Jr. of Butler, Raymond F. Walter of Brokenarrow, Okla., Paul R. Walter of Butler, Charles T. Walter of Butler and John J. Walter of Gray, Ga.; one daughter, Margaret Rose Walter of Pittsburgh; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. One niece and one nephew also survive.
In addition to his wife, he also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rose Ann; and one granddaughter, Emily.

"Frank" Walter, who died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME INC.</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father James Dolan, pastor, officiating.
