Vera G. Myers Nebel
Vera G. (Myers) Nebel, 91, wife of the late Francis A. Nebel, died June 4.
Born Feb. 4, 1918, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Bertha May (Stoops) Myers.
Vera was a 1936 graduate of Butler High School and worked at the local W.T. Grant store, where she met her future husband.
They were married June 3, 1938. The family lived in Van Wert, Ohio; Piscataway, N.J, and Windsor Locks, Conn.; and moved to Suffield, Conn., in 1973. Vera and her husband operated the hobby store, Kits & Krafts, in the Suffield Village.
Vera was a kind, loving woman who will be greatly missed by all.
She leaves sons, Philip Nebel and his wife, Jean, of Independence, Ky., and Kenneth Nebel and his wife, Deborah, of Suffield; daughters, Jean Metcalfe of Kaysville, Utah, and Kathryn Murri and her husband, Thomas, of Northampton, Mass.; sisters, Lois Panei and Bonnie Gomori, both of Butler; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Myers; and three sisters, Virginia Scarpitti, Edith Guentner and Norma Espy.
<B>Nebel </B>— A reception for family and friends of Vera G. (Myers) Nebel, who died Thursday, June 4, 2009, will be held from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at the Butler Days Inn, 139 Pittsburgh Road, Butler. A graveside committal service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24. at the St. Mary Cemetery, Herman. The Rev. Ward Stakem, OFM, Cap., pastor, will officiate.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Vera's memory to the Jewish Nursing Home, 770 Converse St., Longmeadow, MA 01106.Local arrangements are by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E.
