Louise S. Snyder, 90, of Meridian died Wednesday morning at her home.

Born Sept. 29, 1918, in Bethlehem, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Bradford) Matterness.

She retired from Kradel's Greenhouse and previously had worked in food service at Meridian Elementary School.

Louise loved bingo, card playing, her casino trips and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Snyder Sr., who died May 25, 1999, and two brothers.

Surviving are her son, Robert "Skip" C. Snyder Jr. of Meridian; a daughter, Mary Ellen Walter of Meridian; a granddaughter, Marianne (Tom) Norris of Meridian; and four nephews.

<B>Snyder </B>— Friends of Louise S. Snyder, who died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, will be received from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The Rev. Jack Nanz will officiate.
