H. Sybil Paffrath, 91, of Butler died Wednesday at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born June 9, 1918, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Madge Graham.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler, where she was also a member of the Women's Council.

Sybil, along with her late husband, Edward, volunteered and were the organizers of the Friday night party at the Butler P.A.R.C. for 25 years. Their late son, Jim, was also involved in the P.A.R.C. and they all enjoyed camping and traveling.

Surviving are two sons, Edward J. Paffrath Jr. and his companion, Marlene Lutz, of Butler and Stephen G. Paffrath and his fiancée, Coletta Corioso, of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Mary Victoria "Vicki") White of Butler; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Edward J. Paffrath Sr.; two sons, John Edward Paffrath and James Matthew Paffrath; a sister, Phyllis Dickey; and a brother, Edward Graham.

<B>Paffrath </B>—<B> </B>Friends of H. Sybil Paffrath, who died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler. The Rev. James W. Dolan, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Peter Parish Cemetery.The Women's Council of St. Peter will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
