3:52 p.m. Tuesday — A school bus went past a bus stop and the driver tried to back up to drop off a student on Textor Hill Road in Forward Township. The bus hit a Hyundai Sonata. No one was hurt. The driver of the school bus, who was not named, faces a citation.5:30 p.m. Sept. 6 — Corey Jon Shoup, 27, of Butler was charged with burglary after he allegedly tried to give a stolen Nintendo video game system to his daughter as a birthday gift. The child's mother returned the items to Shoup's mother, who gave them back to the owner Treva R. Schenck, 26, of Butler. Schenck said someone entered her home while she was at work.
8:52 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Lindsey A. Schnupp, 24, of Grove City hit a deer on Route 173 in Pine Township. The driver was wearing a seat belt and not injured.7:20 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Linda S. Clingensmith, 57, of New Castle hit a deer on Route 208 in Springfield Township. Clingensmith, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.1:31 p.m. Thursday — Kevin J. Templin, 48, of Mohnton, a construction worker, received minor injuries when he stepped backward onto Route 158 in Wilmington Township and into the path of a construction vehicle owned by Shields Asphalt Paving in Valencia and driven by Keith A. Hotzman, 49, of Fleetwood. Templin was taken to Jameson Hospital and his condition was not available this morning.
Friday — A 17-year-old female was charged with bad checks after writing a check for $88.62 on a closed account to Grove City Borough on July 31.12:15 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Chelsea Wigton, 21, of Grove City struck a tree on Stewart Avenue before rolling onto its side. Police suspect Wigton, who was taken to Grove City Medical Center for unknown injuries, fell asleep while driving. She was cited with several traffic violations.
