3:22 p.m. Thursday — Debra Ann Cross of Fenelton was charged with retail theft after she ate sliced ham at Friedman's Supermarket without paying for it.12:36 p.m. Thursday — Heather Ann Kuhrt, 25, of Butler was charged with possession of a controlled substance after police investigating suspicious activity along Second Street found a bag of crack cocaine in her possession.1:43 p.m. Wednesday — Christopher W. Hair, 28, of Butler was charged with simple assault after he hit his ex-girlfriend during an argument at a North Elm Street residence.12:56 p.m. Tuesday — A 17-year-old Butler boy was charged with dissemination of obscene materials to a minor after he sent a sexual picture to a 13-year-old Butler girl using a cell phone.6 a.m. Tuesday — An unknown vehicle drove through the front yard at 817 Belmont Road, destroying a light post.

12:25 a.m. Thursday — Kimberly Gatto, 23, of Butler was charged with retail theft after she tried to take $127 worth of items from Wal-Mart without paying.9:51 p.m. Wednesday — Stanley Eugene Fair, 34, of Fenelton was charged with retail theft after he tried to steal a computer from Wal-Mart.9:35 p.m. Tuesday — Brett Hartshorn, 27, of Saxonburg was charged with retail theft after he tried to take items from Wal-Mart.

12:30 p.m. Wednesday — Someone stole items from several parked vehicles in parking lots along Carrie Way, including a Pioneer car stereo valued at $150, a Garmin GPS unit valued at $250, a Microsoft Zune valued at $300, a Fuji digital camera valued at $300 and a Coach purse valued at $135, between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
