7:57 p.m. Thursday — Keith Allen Brison, 29, of Kittanning is accused of shoplifting a flat-screen television at the Kmart store in Pullman Square.Police said a store security officer spotted Brison put the television in a shopping cart and leave without paying for it. He was stopped outside and later admitted, according to a police report, that it was "a stupid decision" to take the TV.Brison was arraigned on a charge of retail theft and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.

8:28 p.m. Wednesday — A motorcycle driven by Gary V. Herb, 61, of Valencia crashed in a cornfield along Glade Mill Road near Route 228 in Clinton Township. Herb, who was wearing a helmet, was treated at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for minor injuries. Police said he was cited for a lane violation.9:30 p.m. Saturday — An unidentified car and a pickup collided on Route 268 near Hooker Road in Karns City. Police said the car did not have its lights on and the truck was passing a parked police vehicle just before the collision.The unknown driver of the car and Logan D. McCracken, 21, of Karns City, who was driving the pickup, fled the scene. Anyone with information about the driver of the car is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

1:25 p.m. Wednesday — Charles E. Pinson, 37, of Rimersburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his sport utility vehicle struck an embankment and overturned on Route 68 near Stone Lonesome Road in Monroe Township. Pinson, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury.

Tuesday — An unknown thief stole a .22-caliber semiautomatic rifle from a truck parked at a State Road home in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The theft occurred between 8:45 a.m. and 9:25 p.m.
