3:12 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Sara Hilgar, 23, of Penn Township and Joseph Sciulli, 48, of Oakland Township collided at East Jefferson and Franklin streets. Hilgar, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, was cited for careless driving.Saturday — At least four vehicles on Fifth Avenue were hit with eggs sometime overnight. Police said they found two empty egg cartons on the road.5:16 p.m. Friday — Kinsey Lynn Dean, 21, of Butler was arrested for allegedly assaulting 20-year-old Heather Thorrnton of Butler during a domestic dispute at an East Brady Street home. Dean was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail.2:27 p.m. Friday — Roshelle Dutter, 40, of Butler is accused of obtaining prescription medication at the Rite Aid on South Main Street for another person under false pretenses. Dutter faces charges of acquiring a controlled substance by fraud or misrepresentation, theft by deception and possession of a controlled substance.6:23 p.m. Thursday — A 7-year-old Butler boy was not injured after the bicycle he was riding collided with a sport utility traveling on Wilson Avenue between State and West Brady streets. Jarmila Warhola, 41, of Cranberry Township was driving the SUV when the boy rode in front of the vehicle.

11:10 a.m. Sunday — An 80-year-old man is accused of running afoul of the law after firing a shotgun into the air to scare geese from his pond in Connoquenessing Township. The pellets from four rounds hit the side of a nearby building.The buckshot also came close to hitting four young adults and a teenager sitting in the area of the Butler County Humane Society on Route 68. No one was injured and the building sustained no damage.Police did not identify the shooter, who faces pending charges of reckless endangerment.11:31 p.m. Saturday — Erik D. Crooks, 40, of Hilliards was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a pickup truck parked in the driveway of a Blair Road home in Venango Township. Crooks allegedly drove away but his car broke down on Slater Road, where troopers caught him. In addition to DUI, Crooks faces hit-and-run charges and other traffic violations.2:05 a.m. Saturday — Jason J. Leasure, 37, of Karns City was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 38 near Hohn Road in Oakland Township.8:28 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Rukhsana Jabbar, 45, of Manassas, Va., struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Jabbar was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. She and a passenger also face charges for making false reports to authorities.8:03 p.m. Thursday — Bartholomew A. Mauthe, 27, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his car crashed and rolled on Thompsonville Road in Clay Township. The car, after rolling, hit an embankment and tree. Mauthe suffered a minor injury.6:04 a.m. Thursday — Evan D. Kaufman, 18, of Butler swerved his car to avoid a deer and crashed into a ditch along Whippoorwill Road in Franklin Township. Kaufman suffered a minor injury. Three teenage passengers were not injured.

Wednesday — An unknown thief stole mail from two mailboxes on Pensy Road in Springfield Township. The thefts occurred between 1:05 and 2 p.m.1:10 p.m. July 29 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jennifer J. Parson, 43, of Slippery Rock struck the rear of a car on Route 58 near George Junior Road in Pine Township. The other driver, Joseph E. Miosley, 53, of Grove City, and Deborah Houghtaling, 40, of Grove City, a passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries.Parson was issued a warning for careless driving.
