8:25 p.m. Friday — One person was hurt in a chain-reaction accident on East Jefferson Street.The crash, police said, occurred when a car driven by Alexandra Kovalchick, 26, of West Sunbury rear-ended a car driven by Cornulus Maryland, 33, of New Brighton, Beaver County. The collision pushed Maryland's vehicle into the rear of a car driven by Christine Harvey, 21, of Butler.Police said Christina Thompson, 34, of Butler, a passenger in Maryland's car, was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries.
10:45 p.m. Thursday — Rodger William Anthony, 39, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after driving away from the Wal-Mart store in Butler Commons and moments later hitting a curb along New Castle Road. The right front tire blew out after it struck the curb.When officers got there, a police report said, Anthony was unable to stand on his own. Police said the defendant, in addition to DUI, was cited for public drunkenness.
12:27 a.m. Monday — Gerald W. Crispin Jr., 40, of Butler was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, 36-year-old Katherine Hedrick, during a domestic dispute at her Meadow Valley Drive home in Center Township.Crispin was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail.12:05 a.m. Monday — Three Butler residents are accused of reckless driving and squealing tires as they raced their vehicles in the Clearview Mall parking lot in Center Township.Cited for disorderly conduct in the case are Devin Blum, 24; Andrew Freeze, 22; and Ashley Sell, 19.1:45 a.m. Sunday—A wallet, an undisclosed amount of money and a cheese pizza were stolen from a sport utility vehicle parked at a South Ludlow Avenue home in Parker, Armstrong County.Sunday — A silver, 2003 Subaru Outback Imprezza was reported stolen from the driveway of a Route 173 home in Slippery Rock Township. The theft occurred between 9 p.m. Saturday and 9:50 a.m. Sunday.
