10:56 p.m. Wednesday — Michael Gregg, 28, was arrested after an altercation with police at his Virginia Avenue home.Police were called to the home for a possible domestic dispute and found the defendant there with his wife and a friend, Tommy Vaughn, 28, of Butler. Officers had been there earlier and warned Gregg and his wife to stop any dispute or face arrest.On the second call to the home, officers spoke to Gregg on the back porch. It appeared he had been drinking.When an officer tried to put handcuffs on him, Gregg "violently pulled his arm away," the police report. The officer pushed the defendant up against the wall and drew his Taser.Another officer stepped onto the porch to help. Gregg was forced to the floor and handcuffed. Police said as officers led Gregg outside, Vaughn shouted profanities at them.Gregg is charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Vaughn is charged with disorderly conduct.Wednesday — Police filed bad check charges against Deshundra Houston, 25, of Butler for allegedly passing a pair of bad checks of $60 on May 22 and $150 on June 3 to her landlord.1:57 a.m. Sunday — Cheryl Dillon, 24, was arrested for driving under the influence at West Jefferson and Chestnut Street following a domestic dispute with her boyfriend at the couple's Wiltshire Avenue home.Police said Dillon and Dewey Buzzard, 23, had been at a bar earlier and were returning home when they began to argue. Back at home, she allegedly hit Buzzard in the face, causing his nose to bleed. She drove away and was stopped by officers a short time later.Dillon, who told police she drove off to get away from Buzzard, was arraigned on charges of DUI and simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail. Police cited Buzzard for harassment.

10:38 p.m. Tuesday — Heath Allen Grabe, no age given, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 in Middlesex Township.July 8 — An unknown thief stole a mailbox on Pflugh Road in Franklin Township. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. July 7 and noon July 8.July 5 — Three boys are accused of stealing three bicycles that were locked on the patio of a home at the Meadowbrook Apartment complex in Center Township. The suspects, a 14-year-old and 17-year-old, both from Butler, and a 17-year-old from New Kensington, Westmoreland County, who police did not identify, are charged in juvenile court with theft and receiving stolen property.
