10 a.m. Monday — Gregory F. Thompson, 39, is accused of assaulting his wife's 11-year-old son during a domestic dispute at their West Penn Street home. Thompson is charged with simple assault and harassment.11:26 p.m. Saturday — Raymond Patrick Jacobs, 25, of Butler was arrested — but not without a fight — at his Mercer Road home on a warrant for domestic violence, police said. The defendant is accused of struggling with officers who made the arrest.Jacobs was arraigned on a charge of resisting arrest as well as for simple assault stemming from the warrant; he was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail following arraignment.

12:21 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by John Delvecchio, 22, of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, struck the rear of a pickup truck on North Main Street near Evans Road. Cynthia Horstman, 33, of Slippery Road was driving the pickup.12:19 a.m. Sunday — Police crashed a suspected underage drinking party at Alameda Park and cited 14 people. Those charged with underage drinking range in age between 16 and 20 years old. The county's juvenile probation office assisted police.

Saturday — A black, Honda CR25OR dirt bike with yellow decals was stolen between 12:30 and 9 a.m. in a burglary at a Spring Street home. The bike is valued at $3,300. Also stolen was a motor worth $65 and a 5-gallon gas can.4:08 p.m. June 30 — A vehicle driven by Thomas J. Koprivnikar, 44, of Grove City struck a utility pole at North Broad and Chestnut streets. Police said Koprivnikar was cited for driving with a suspended license and a red light violation.June 30 — Thieves stole items from numerous unlocked vehicles in the 200 block of North Broad Street and the 300 blocks of North Center, State and McConnell streets. The vehicle break-ins occurred during the early morning.Witnesses told police they saw a group of four males — three white and one black — all about 16 years old, entering or trying to enter vehicles. Among the property taken was a pair of eyeglasses valued at $400 and a Nintendo DS system with games and accessories worth $250.

4 p.m. Monday — The engine compartment of a pickup driven by Benjamin H. Davis, 19, of Grove City began smoking on Route 208 near Tieline Road in Pine Township. The truck erupted into flames a short time later.Davis was able to get out of the vehicle unharmed. Pine Township volunteer firefighters put out the blaze.4:45 a.m. Saturday — A van driven by Christopher S. Alford, 35, of Sandy Lake crashed into a tree along Route 62 in Sandy Lake Township. Police said Alford, who was treated at UPMC Horizon in Greenville for minor injuries, was cited for careless driving and a lane violation.
