2 a.m. Monday — Dennis Milton, 41, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his motorcycle crashed into a car parked on West Wayne Street near the Island Bar.Police said Milton, who suffered minor injuries, also was cited for driving without insurance, driving with an improper license and three other traffic violations.10:34 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Cory Druschel, 19, and a county-owned bus driven by William R. Greenawalt, 69, both of Butler collided at North Main and Locust streets. Only one passenger was on the bus and no injuries were reported.Sunday — Four vehicles were reportedly broken into overnight on three city streets.The vehicles included a tractor-trailer parked in a lot on East Cunningham Street near Elliott Tire. Stolen from the rig was a DVD player and three DVDs.Also ransacked were two cars on Howard Street. A cell phone and change was stolen from one car; and an auto maintenance kit and change was taken from the other.A blanket and registration papers were stolen from the fourth vehicle, a car parked on South Cliff Street.
4:38 p.m. Sunday — Valerie Montgomery, 20, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township.2:47 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Clark Wigginton Jr., 24, of Pittsburgh and Daniel Kuniak, 46, of Tarentum, Allegheny County, collided on Route 8 in Penn Township. A passenger in each car suffered minor injuries. Police said Wigginton was cited for failure to yield.June 21 — Video game console parts and several packs of cigarettes were stolen June 20 or 21 in a burglary at a Main Street home in Bruin.1:07 a.m. June 13 — Samantha E. McDonald, 35, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 8 in Middlesex Township.
12:41 p.m. Monday — Two Grove City men were seriously injured when the car in which they were riding split in half after crashing into a tree along Irishtown Road near Cranberry Road in Pine Township.Police said the speeding car, driven by 18-year-old Tim Baker, before hitting the tree, traveled over a knoll in the road and became airborne for about 100 feet.Adam Snyder 19, a passenger, who was not wearing a seat belt, was immediately flown by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio.Baker was taken to Grove City Medical Center before being flown to St. Elizabeth's. Authorities did not know if Baker was wearing a seat belt.The conditions of the men were not known this morning. The road was closed for about three hours to allow for police to conduct an accident reconstruction investigation.
