Tuesday — Police filed felony charges against Anthony L. Jordon, 40, of Butler for allegedly using a Crawford County woman's bank card, without her permission, to withdraw $1,000 from her account.Police said Jordon withdrew the money in two transactions at automated teller machines in Butler County. The defendant was caught on surveillance video at one ATM making a withdraw, according to court documents.Jordon is charged with theft and access device fraud.12 a.m. Saturday — Johnny R. Rodriguez, 39, of Butler is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, 39-year-old Carrie Ragland, during a domestic dispute at her West North Street apartment.Ragland did not notify authorities until about 9 p.m. that night, according to a police report. She claimed she was unable to immediately contact police because she believed Rodriguez took her cell phone, which she was unable to find.Rodriguez was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail.
Wednesday — Unknown vandals damaged a rear door and sign at Clearfield Elementary School on Clearfield-Fenelton Road in Clearfield Township. The vandalism occurred between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.Wednesday — Several windows at a men's restroom area at Armco Park in Slippery Rock Township were broken with rocks sometime between 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.Tuesday — A convicted sex offender was arrested for failing to comply with state sex offender registration requirements.Jason Earl Dickey, 26, of Coolspring Township, Mercer County, is accused of failing to notify state police of a change in address and employer within 48 hours. Dickey works in Mercer Township, Butler County, according to the Pennsylvania Megan's Law Website.The defendant, who was convicted of gross sexual imposition in Ohio in 2002, was arraigned on charges and placed in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.1:52 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Ross A. Bates, 33, of Portersville struck the rear of a pickup truck at Routes 488 and 422 in Franklin Township. Police said Bates was cited for following too closely to another vehicle. Roger L. Sigworth, 62, of Bruin was driving the pickup.9:59 p.m. June 16 — Adam Vinick III, 45, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck a utility pole along Burtner Road near Route 356 in Jefferson Township.Police said Vinick, who fled the scene, also is charged with hit-and-run, careless driving, reckless driving, not reporting the accident, abandoning a vehicle, driving at an unsafe speed and a lane violation.
Tuesday — Two spools containing copper wire valued at $117 were stolen from a vehicle on Industrial Drive in Pine Township. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.
