Welding 50th anniversary

LaVerne and Jim Welding

Jim and LaVerne Welding of Hilliards celebrated 50 years of marriage with a Caribbean cruise with their family.

Welding married the former LaVerne Lowery on May 20, 1959, in Cumberland, Md.

They have four children, Linda Confer of Hilliards, Diane Campbell of Hilliards, Donna Eshenbaugh of West Sunbury and Jim Welding of Hilliards.

They also have seven grandchildren.

Welding is retired from a vending machine company. He and his wife started FJ&L Unlimited and later retired from the business. He enjoys playing the guitar and horseshoes. He also volunteers for the Moniteau High School football team.

Mrs. Welding is retired from working for the Social Security Office. She enjoys bingo, bowling, gambling and Disney.The Weldings belong to Ridgeville Methodist Church and enjoy traveling and spending time with their family and friends.
