3:29 p.m. Friday — Nicole Lynn Kelly, 21, of Butler was charged with simple assault after she allegedly attacked another woman she discovered in bed with a mutual acquaintance at a residence on South Washington Street. The victim suffered facial contusions and a broken nose.11:29 a.m. Tuesday — An SUV owned by Jennie A. Morris of Butler was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while parked along West Brady Street. There is no description available for the hit-and-run vehicle. Anyone with information can call police at 724-287-7743.
12:06 a.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by Robert Knappenberger, 29, of Leechburg crashed into a guard rail on Route 422. Knappenberger and his passenger, Michael Keim, 27, of West Leechburg were not injured.Tuesday — Vehicles driven by Kenneth Meyers Jr., 73, of Butler, Clinton McCarren, 17, of Chicora and Hope Hartle, 23, of Butler collided at the intersection of Old Plank and Litman roads. No one was injured, and Meyers was cited for a stop sign violation.5:08 p.m. May 15 — Bryan Hartman, 41, of Renfrew was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, prohibited offensive weapon and speeding following a traffic stop on Route 422. Officers allegedly discovered two small plastic bags of marijuana, two smoking pipes and a pocket knife with a spring-loaded opening mechanism inside the vehicle.
8:45 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Desiree D. Barensfeld, 24, of Fombell an SUV driven by James P. Cummings, 42, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and an SUV driven by Michael A. Yurcak, 51, of Cambridge Springs collided on Route 422 near West Old Route 422 in Franklin Township. Barensfeld and Yurcak suffered minor injuries. Barensfeld was cited for driving at unsafe speed and not wearing a seat belt.2:20 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by Robert D. Stroup, 40, of Chicora, an SUV driven by Jeremy D. Bowser, 21, of Parker and a truck driven by Deborah M. Cogley, 55, of East Brady collided on Route 68 near Shearer Road in Oakland Township. Stroup suffered a minor injury and Bowser and Cogley each suffered moderate injuries. Stroup was cited for a traffic violation.11 a.m. Tuesday — Someone entered a vehicle belonging to Charles W. Barnes while it was parked at a residence along Fairview Road in Fairview Township between 11:45 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday. Taken were three packs of cigarettes belonging to Barnes and a Motorola HT1000 portable radio, valued at $600 and belonging to the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.8:47 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Kathleen A. Entwistle, 46, of Cranberry Township and a pickup truck driven by William H. Tillia Jr., 75, of New Castle collided on Countryview Road in Worth Township. Tillia suffered a minor injury. Entwistle was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.1 p.m. May 16 — Richard Hulings, 50, and Paul Hulings, 51, both were charged with receiving stolen property after they allegedly tried to cash in $47 worth of scrap metal at Slippery Rock Salvage in Slippery Rock Township.
6:15 a.m. Thursday — Richard Allen Pearson II, 39, of Sandy Lake was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment following a domestic dispute with a 35-year-old woman at a residence along Sandy Lake New Lebanon Road in Sandy Lake Township.
