9:21 p.m. Sunday — A man and woman wanted on warrants were arrested while walking at South Main and Brush streets.Scott Leroy Bailey, 37, of Butler gave a fake name when officers initially questioned him. He was searched and found with a stamp bag of suspected heroin, three empty stamp bags and a syringe.A search of Sara Jane Wach, 27, of Butler allegedly turned up eight empty stamp bags, two syringes and a burned spoon.Bailey is charged with giving false identification to law enforcement authorities, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Wach is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

6:46 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Margaret A. Summerville, 47, of Vandergrift, Westmoreland County, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Samantha Mueller, 38, of Cabot collided at Bear Creek and Leasureville roads in Winfield Township. Summerville was cited for a stop sign violation.Tuesday — A Mossberg 500 turkey gun was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a Hayville Road home in Fairview Township. The shotgun and a cell phone, also taken from the vehicle, are valued at $500. The theft occurred between 9:30 p.m. Monday and 5 a.m. Tuesday.Tuesday — Police cited a 16-year-old boy for disorderly conduct stemming from a text message he sent from Summit Township to his girlfriend, threatening to harm himself and claiming he had cut himself. The girl called police.However, when troopers got to the boy's home, they found he was not injured. The youth, who police did not identify, allegedly told police he sent the message to upset his girlfriend.5:10 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Justin T. Whallin, 18, of Slippery Rock crashed into embankment and rolled over after traveling off Crestview Road in Slippery Rock Township. Whallin faces a ticket for driving too fast for conditions.3:45 p.m. Monday — Cars driven by Carino Galassi, 79, of Karns City and Patrice M. Franchuck, 56, of Butler collided at Route 68 and West Slippery Street. Galassi, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.7:30 a.m. Monday — Cars driven by Daniel J. Burke, 19, of Fenelton and Lucy S. Thompson, 48, of West Sunbury collided at Routes 8 and 138 in Clay Township. Thompson was cited for a left turn violation.12:10 p.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Gomer A. Emery, 62, of New Castle and a car driven by Patricia A. Hughes, 62, of Butler collided on Route 8 at Clearview Mall in Center Township.Emery and Betty McQueeny, 86, a passenger in Hughes' car, suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.8:30 a.m. Monday — A 17-year-old Cranberry Township girl was caught with suspected marijuana on Simon Drive in Jefferson Township. The girl, who police did not identify, is charged in juvenile court with possession of a controlled substance.Sunday — Someone stole an iPod and iPod adapter from an unlocked car in the Sears parking lot at Clearview Mall in Center Township. The property, taken between 7:50 a.m. and 1 p.m., is valued at $270Saturday — Unknown burglars made off with alcohol and a 15-foot canoe from a summer home near Route 268 about 100 yards east of the Foxburg bridge in Hovey Township, Armstrong County.Police believe the suspects went to the home on bikes they had stolen from a nearby market. They broke a basement window and got inside, and they took the alcohol from a refrigerator and wine rack. The burglars made their getaway in the canoe.Friday — A 10-year-old boy, who police did not identify, faces reckless endangerment charges for allegedly firing an air-soft rifle at a school bus on Route 68 in Summit Township. The incident occurred between 3:30 and 4 p.m.The pellet went through an open window on the bus and hit an 11-year-old boy in the back of his head. The pellet then caromed off him and hit a 10-year-old boy in the front of his head.Police learned of the incident Monday when they were notified by the school. Both victims reportedly suffered minor injuries.1:45 p.m. Wednesday — Jana Lee Skiles, 19, of Butler is accused of shoplifting about $370 in clothing from the Boscov's store in Clearview Mall, Center Township. Skiles faces a charge of retail theft.May 12 — About 25 keys were stolen between 4:20 p.m. May 11 and 7:10 a.m. May 12 from a van at a Dogwood Drive home in Franklin Township.May 8 — A .243-caliber Remington Model 7 hunting rifle was stolen between Jan. 31 and May 8 from a Youkers Road home in Franklin Township.
