James and Madeline Toogood

James and Madeline Toogood of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a dinner for family and friends Saturday at the Garden Gate Restaurant.

Toogood married the former Madeline O'Boyle on May 16, 1959, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wexford.

They have four children, Jay Toogood of Butler, Christopher Toogood of Clinton, Ohio; Megan Willison of Butler and Matthew Toogood of Butler.

They also have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Toogood is retired from working for 39 years as a mechanical designer for Billco Manufacturing in Zelienople. His wife is a homemaker.The Toogoods belong to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Secular Franciscan Order in Butler.
