2:50 a.m. Sunday — Krista Lynn Artman, 27, of Saxonburg is accused of violating a protection from abuse order for allegedly making a harassing telephone call to Derrick Artman at his Mercer Street home. The suspect was arraigned on a charge of indirect criminal contempt and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,000 bond.Sunday — Alison Daye reported that someone took her daughter's purple, 20-inch Huffy mountain bike from their Fourth Avenue home.Saturday — An unknown thief reportedly stole six solar lights valued at $60 from the backyard of a Zeigler Avenue home.4:33 p.m. May 4 — Cars driven by Paul Allen, 64, of Butler and Robert Meals, 53, of Center Township collided at Mercer and West Brady streets. Both drivers suffered minor injuries.April 30 — William D. Vankirk III, 29, of Butler allegedly failed to return a car he borrowed from a Butler woman.The woman had given Vankirk the keys to the car as well as her bank debit card to pick up some snacks at a city convenience store, according to a police report. The alleged victim called police several hours after Vankirk did not come back with the car, debit card or snacks. Police later learned that Vankirk allegedly used the woman's card to withdraw more than $550 from her bank account. He faces charges of access device fraud and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

1:12 a.m. Sunday — Michael Scott Jones, 33, of Rimersburg, Clarion County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 268 and Bluff Street in Parker, Armstrong County.Sunday — An unknown burglar kicked in the concession stand door at the Center Township baseball fields on Mercer Road and stole beef jerky, Slim Jims, Gatorade and bubble gum. The break-in occurred between 5 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. The Center Township Athletic Association owns the stolen property.Sunday — Money and unspecified items were stolen between 5 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Sunday in a burglary at a Pine Drive home in Summit Township.Sunday — Six people were arrested for drunken driving during a weekend DUI checkpoint and roving patrol detail on various roads in the county.4:13 a.m. Saturday — Maria Zahniser, 43, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on New Castle Street in Butler.1:59 a.m. Saturday — Paula D. Gabauer, 38, of New Brighton, Beaver County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI at South Benbrook Road and Greenwood Drive in Butler Township.12:10 a.m. Saturday — Gary C. Belgie, 49, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Herman Road and Simon Drive in Summit Township.2:17 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Candace Corvi, 18, of Fenelton struck the rear of a pickup truck on Greenwood Drive near New Castle Road in Butler Township. Police said Corvi was cited for following too closely to the pickup, driven by Zacharri W. Renick, 18, of Butler.Friday — A cell phone and iPod were stolen from a girl's locker at the Slippery Rock Middle School in Slippery Rock Township. The property, valued at $180, was taken between 6:50 and 11:40 a.m.9:31 p.m. Thursday — Diane Eileen McDonald, 52, of Chicora was hurt when a pickup truck struck her on Route 68 in front of the Last Laff bar in Chicora. McDonald, who was wearing dark clothing, walked out in front the pickup driven by Jackie Pyle, 69, of Chicora, according to a police report.McDonald suffered a minor injury but refused medical treatment and walked home. Police said she faces a ticket for not crossing at an intersection.9:15 p.m. Thursday — An unidentified vehicle struck a utility pole along Branchton Road in Slippery Rock. The unknown driver did not stop after the crash.4:47 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Austin J. Hilyard, 19, of Cabot struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on West Jefferson Road in Jefferson Township. Police said Hilyard was cited for driving too fast for conditions.3:44 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Gilbert H. Morris, 88, of Slippery Rock struck a set of mailboxes and a utility pole along Route 68 in Summit Township. Police said Morris, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for a minor injury, was cited for a lane violation.11:50 a.m. May 2 — Sport utility vehicles driven by Jeannette L. McWilliams, 42, of Slippery Rock and Charles E. Wegner, 64, of Harrisville collided on Route 8 in Brady Township. Wegner was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for a moderate injury. Police said McWilliams was cited for a stop sign violation.1:25 a.m. April 19 — David Joseph Perri, 48, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on New Castle Road near Barracks Road in Butler Township.

Thursday — A rifle valued at $1,200 was reported stolen in a burglary between 6:40 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at a Patterson School Road home in Wolf Creek Township.
