4:48 p.m. Tuesday A Venango County man was arrested for felony drug possession on West Cunningham Street.Officers found 26-year-old James Michael Lauricia after a Butler woman called police to report he was allegedly stalking her. Lauricia was found with 25 stamp bags of suspected heroin as well as five empty bags and a syringe.He is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.6:57 p.m. April 16 Three teenagers were arrested after police caught them trying to break into a house on West Pearl Street. Police did not identify the suspects, a 17-year-old boy, 15-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl.The boys face trespass charges in juvenile court; the girl is charged with conspiracy.
9:06 p.m. Tuesday One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at Route 8 and Vogel Road caused apparently when one of the drivers ran a red light.Police said Leroy H. Goepfert, 30, of Butler failed to stop at the red light while southbound on Route 8 and collided with a vehicle driven by Jennifer Snow, 29, of Butler that was traveling west on Vogel Road.The collision sent Snow's vehicle into a car parked in the Kelly Chevrolet parking lot. She suffered minor injuries.Goepfert was cited for a red light violation.
Friday Medication, a carton of cigarettes and candy were stolen from a car at the Hummingbird Plaza parking lot in Chicora. The property, valued at $200, was stolen between 5 and 7:05 p.m.11:30 p.m. April 7 An unidentified vehicle struck a fence post near a driveway on Upper Harmony Road in Connoquenessing Township. The unknown driver did not stop.
1:21 a.m. today Thomas R. Harris, 44, of Clintonville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 in Sandy Creek Township.
