Bartley 50th anniversary
Laverne and Elizabeth Bartley of Valencia will celebrate 50 years of marriage Friday with a family dinner. They are also planning a trip to Gettysburg.
Bartley married the former Elizabeth Schilling on April 17, 1959, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Mars.
They have five children, Samuel Bartley of Valencia, Sharon Gross of Mars, Mark Bartley of Valencia, Roy Bartley of Valencia and Philip Bartley of Gibsonia.
They also have seven grandchildren.
Bartley is retired from working for 34 years at the North Pittsburgh Telephone Company in Gibsonia. He and his wife also operated a dairy for 24 years.
Mrs. Bartley, as a homemaker, enjoys genealogy and playing the piano and organ.
The Bartleys belong to the Clinton United Presbyterian Church in Saxonburg.
