Shidemantle 90th birthday
Betty Shidemantle of Cranberry Township celebrated her 90th birthday with a family open house March 21 at Cranberry Place, where she resides.
The former Betty Rylott was born March 20, 1919, in Koppel. She married Dale Shidemantle Oct. 2, 1937. He is deceased.
She has six children, Mary Grey Emmett of Prospect, Thomas Shidemantle of Staten Island, N.Y.; David Shidemantle of Harmony; Peter Shidemantle of DeWitt, N.Y.; Dale Shidemantle Jr. of Erie and Beth Himebauch of Bonita Springs, Fla. She also has 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Shidemantle is a homemaker and was active for many years in parent support groups in Butler. She belongs to Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon and sang in the choir.
