Sunday Robert Hamilton reported that someone took a bicycle from his Virginia Avenue home. The bike is a silver, 20-inch Diamondback "Response" model, valued at $350.Sunday An unknown vandal broke six windows at the T.W. Phillips warehouse at Monroe and Cunningham streets.1:15 a.m. Saturday Morgan Engle, 33, of New Castle was arrested for driving under the influence on West Cunningham Street. Police said Engle also was cited for not stopping at a flashing red light and using high beams with oncoming traffic.11:51 p.m. Friday An unidentified car ran a red light and struck another car at East Jefferson and Monroe streets and drove away after the crash. The suspected vehicle is described as a newer, dark blue sedan that was last seen traveling on Kittanning Street toward East Butler. Kaitlyn Stroup, 18, of Chicora was driving the car that was hit.

Sunday Charlene King of Karns City reported that someone took her purse from a truck at the parking lot of Alan's Roadhouse in Petrolia. She told police the purse contained $350. The truck also was vandalized.Sunday Lisa Meyers of Karns City told police her car was taken between 4 and 10:45 a.m. from Spring Street in Chicora. A purse reportedly with $320 also was taken from the car. Police have a suspect in the case.9:30 p.m. Saturday Larry Evans, 48, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Queen Junction Road in Clay Township.6:17 p.m. Saturday A thief rifled through two purses in a back room at the Corner Store in Prospect. One of the victims told police that $470 was taken from her purse.Store surveillance video captured the theft on video. Police are seeking three unknown suspects two white men and a white woman in the case.2 a.m. Saturday Nathan Rumm, 20, of Edinboro, Erie County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Harmony and Branchton roads in Slippery Rock Township.Saturday Someone broke a car window and stole a purse from the vehicle parked at the Elbow Room Bar on Main Street in Chicora. Kara Shumaker of Petrolia told police the purse contained her driver's license and other personal information. The theft occurred between 12:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 a.m. Sunday.Saturday Anna Richards of Worth Township told police that someone used her bank debit card to make several unauthorized purchases between Thursday and Saturday totaling $1,043 from businesses in and around the Slippery Rock area.3:48 p.m. Friday A pickup truck driven by Keith R. Haid, 18, of Butler struck a tree along Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township. Police said Haid was cited for driving too fast for conditions.3:47 Friday John Dewayne Henry Nelson, 30, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on West New Castle Street in Butler.1:26 p.m. Friday A car driven by Ronald S. Robinson, 56, of Chicora struck a utility pole along Route 68 in Fairview Township. Police said Robinson was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries.1:57 a.m. Friday Tarelle Maxshure, 21, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Elm and West Cooper streets in Slippery Rock.Friday Police filed a bad check charge against Melissa Lynn Silk, 31, of Butler for passing a bum check for $113.30 at the Moraine Grove Vet Clinic in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Silk wrote the check on a closed account.9:50 p.m. Thursday A car driven by Susan L. Dembeck, 51, of Petrolia sideswiped another car on Hooker Road near South Street in Fairview Township. Police said Dembeck, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for a minor injury, was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road. Katrina T. Johnston, 16, of Parker was driving the other car.12:55 a.m. March 29 Joshua Parshall, 18, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Hansen Avenue at Hansen Auto in Butler Township.1:49 a.m. March 28 Frank Monpere Jr., 26, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Litman road at the South Butler fire hall in Butler Township.

1:22 p.m. Wednesday A car driven by Kyle A. Taylor, 22, of Butler struck a tree along Stoughton Road near Route 19 in Scott Township.
