7:26 a.m. Tuesday — A14-year-old Butler boy was injured when a pickup truck's front tire ran over his foot on Cunningham Street near Fourth Street. Police said the accident occurred after James Ealy stepped in front of the pickup driven by George Olenic, 72, of Butler, who did not have time to stop.The teen was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. No charges were filed.10:39 p.m. Monday — Joseph Furka, 57, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on First Street. Furka also was cited for driving with a suspended license, driving on the wrong side of the road and an open container violation.4:57 p.m. March 17 — Albert Dowling Jr., 66, of Butler was seriously injured when he crashed his motorcycle after swerving to avoid a car on New Castle Street. The cycle went onto the sidewalk and struck a traffic sign before traveling back onto the road and sliding on its side for about 30 feet.Dowling, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with injuries to his right hand and knee.

10:15 a.m. Wednesday — An unknown hit-and-run driver in a white car struck a red Chevrolet Cavalier at Duffy and New Castle roads and drove away.The white car ran a stop sign and was last seen traveling west on New Castle Road. Police did not identify the driver of the Cavalier.Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

7 p.m. Tuesday — Trevor J. Dunkel, 22, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a tree and landscaping along Lions Road in Center Township. Dunkel, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury.12:56 p.m. Tuesday — Asport utility vehicle driven by Allen E. Proper, 18, of Etters, York County, and a pickup truck driven by Bretten Hines, 21, of Butler collided at Kiester and Harmony roads in Slippery Rock Township. Proper was cited for a stop sign violation.4 p.m. Monday — Joseph A. Summerville III, 20, of Prospect faces drug charges after undercover troopers found him with suspected marijuana in a car in Franklin Township.The officers were in the area of Whippoorwill Road for a complaint of suspected drug activity when they came upon Summerville in a car with a 15-year-old passenger in the vehicle, according to court documents.Summerville is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and corruption of minors.2:14 p.m. Monday — Daniel Robert Keith Hilliard, 19, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance at Route 308 and Henricks Road in Center Township.Additionally, as police tried to conduct field sobriety tests, Hilliard allegedly pulled away from troopers and tried to get back into his car. A police drug recognition expert later examined the defendant and determined he was under the influence of marijuana and a central nervous system depressant, court documents said. In addition to DUI, Hilliard is charged with resisting arrest and three traffic violations.
