Ort 50th anniversary
Jack and Carol Ort of Hummelstown, formerly of Butler, celebrated 50 years of marriage with a reception given by their family.
Ort married the former Carol Kincaid Feb. 28, 1959, at Highland Presbyterian Church in New Castle. The Rev. Howard Snow officiated.
They have three children, Daniel Ort of Elmer, N.J.; Mark Ort of Butler and Kelli Chambers of Hummelstown.
They also have six grandchildren.
Ort retired in 1994 from Butler Memorial Hospital. He was a pharmacy technician for the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964 in Washington, D.C. He now works for Allegheny Valley School in Hummelstown. He enjoys sports, especially the Steelers, and making wood furniture and crafts.
Mrs. Ort worked for the National Association of Letter Carriers in Washington and for Butler Memorial Hospital. Her hobbies include antique collecting and going to auctions.
The Orts attend Capitol Bible Church near Hershey.
