12:58 p.m. Sunday — Two men were arrested, one for drunken driving and the other for a pair of warrants, following a traffic stop on Fourth Avenue.In addition to DUI, Dean Potts, 48, of Oakland Township is accused of a red light violation and possessing a prohibited offensive weapon for having a switchblade knife.David Chad Bemben, 28, of Butler, a passenger, was found wanted on two warrants. He was searched and allegedly found with a small container of suspected crack cocaine and two drug pipes.Bemben is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
6:10 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Jessica Masdea, 19, of Butler struck a tree while rounding a bend on Dinnerbell Road in Jefferson Township. Masdea, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury.4:01 p.m. Friday — Acar driven by Kristofer Wahler, 31, of Connoquenessing crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Police said Wahler faces a ticket for careless driving.
8:15 p.m. Saturday — An unknown hit-and-run driver struck the rear of a car on Route 208 in Springfield Township and drove away after the crash. Joshua A. Hines, 18, of Volant was driving the car.2:30 p.m. Saturday — A teenage detainee escaped from the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township. Police said the white boy, who they did not identify, was on a visit with family at the Prime Outlets when he ran off.Apolice report said authorities later learned the boy got a ride to Pittsburgh from a female at the shopping center.Saturday — Kenneth L. Francis, 64, of Grove City was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman during a domestic dispute at Fellowship Manor on Route 58 in Pine Township. Police said the woman, who they did not identify, suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized after the assault. Francis faces aggravated assault and other charges.
