2:01 a.m. Saturday — Jay M. Hoshak, 40, of Lyndora was arrested for driving under the influence at West New Castle and North Chestnut streets.
6:11 a.m. Wednesday — Tricia D. Beach, 37, of Lyndora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Pillow Street.
3:51 a.m. Sunday — Dean Brandt McEwen, 41, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 422 in Butler Township.2:30 a.m. Sunday — Chad Hanna, 20, of Greenville, Mercer County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Harmony and Keister roads in Slippery RockTownship.1:41 a.m. Sunday — Helen Norris, 48, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 422 in Franklin Township.4:45 a.m. Saturday — Two Mercer County women are accused of twice breaking into a Slippery Rock Township apartment and assaulting a Grove City man. Charged with burglary, conspiracy, trespass and criminal mischief are Daniel Rene Black, 22, of Grove City and Aileen Rose Stewart, 23, ofMercer.Police said the suspects first broke into the front door of the apartment rented by Jamie Lynn Murphy, 21, of Slippery Rock and assaulted 27-year-old Jerome Paul West. The defendants left but returned later, this time allegedly breaking into the apartment through a bedroom window.Once inside, the woman again assaulted West.Police said Black broke a picture frame while in the apartment, and Stewart broke a door frame while trying to leave. A police report did not say if West was injured.9:45 p.m. Saturday — A 17- year-old boy escaped from the Summit Academy reform school in Summit Township. He was caught about 3:25 a.m. Sunday.1:25 Saturday — Leonard Teuteberg, 23, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Saxonburg Boulevard at the Sheetz store in Butler Township.7:30 p.m. Friday — Larry Curtis, 39, of Butler is accused of trying to hit a 23-year-old Chicora woman with his vehicle at the Dollar General store in Chicora. Curtis is charged with reckless endangerment and harassment. Police did not identify the woman.4:18 p.m. Friday — A car driven by James Malcom IV, 22, of Gaithersburg, Md., struck a utility pole along Route 422 near McConnell Drive in Franklin Township. said Malcolm was cited for a lane violation.7:15 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Jordan P. Fennell, 18, of Butler crashed into a concrete barrier on Route 422 near Route 68 in Summit Township. The car spun around and hit the barrier a second time.1:49 a.m. Friday — Bryan Conner, 21, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 8 and Jefferson Street in Butler.4:33 p.m. Thursday — Dustin Lee Holton, 20, of Emlenton was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 308 and North Drive in Center Township.Thursday — About 200 pounds of copper wire were stolen from John Garvin's salvage yard on Franklin Drive in Winfield Township.Thursday — Ernest Buck reported someone broke into his Old Brick Road home in Washington Township and stole several unspecified items. The burglary occurred between Nov. 24 and Thursday.9:25 p.m. Wednesday — Two cars struck deer in separate crashes on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Robert F. Long, 22, of Titusville, Crawford County, and Adam C. Lewis, 20, of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, struck the deer.
10 p.m. Saturday — Aleisha Grates, 27, of Templeton swerved her car to avoid another vehicle and struck a tree along Sloan Hill Road in Rayburn Township. Grates, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning for a moderate facial injury. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Saturday — An unknown thief stole a license plate from a Templeton woman's car at Mak Square in West Franklin Township.The theft occurred between 7 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday. 9:20 p.m. Friday — Michael Arbuckle, 19, of Bethel Park, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township.
5:12 p.m. Thursday — Two Grove City College students stole a wheelchair buggy from the Wal-Mart store in Pine Township. The male students, who police did not identify, returned the property a short time later.March 8 — An unknown burglar stole a jug of coins from a Perrine Road home in Wolf Creek Township. The break-in occurred between Nov. 1 and March 8.
12:57 a.m. Sunday — Michael Alan Burtner, 19, of Ellwood City was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his pickup struck a mailbox, the front porch of a house and a fence at Route 65 and Cline Street in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
