12:05 a.m. Sunday — Lynsay Stewart, 30, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on West Wayne Street. Stewart also was cited for making an illegal left turn.Buffalo Twp PoliceSunday — Milwaukee brand tools were taken in a burglary after midnight at Discount Sales on South Pike Road. The burglars got inside the store after breaking a glass door.
8 p.m. Sunday — Serena Mydock, 20, and Ashley Jones, 22, both of Butler, are accused of shoplifting $92.82 and $107.04 in merchandise, respectively, at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Both are charged with retail theft.6:43 p.m. Sunday — Avehicle driven by Carrie Osche, no age or address given, crashed into a concrete barrier on Route 422 between North Duffy and Mercer roads.3:47 p.m. Thursday — Asport utility vehicle driven by Brianna Harvey, 17, of Butler struck the rear of a car on Whitestown Road. Harvey and the other driver, Mary Stickles, 68, of Butler, suffered minor injuries. Harvey faces a ticket for careless driving.
3:18 a.m. Sunday — Numerous packs of cigarettes were stolen in a burglary at Bogatz Market on Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township. The store also was ransacked and a Pennsylvania Lottery machine destroyed.Police said the burglar or burglars broke a glass door to get inside. The theft and damages totaled an estimated $2,050.Sunday — Four people were arrested for driving under the influence during a sobriety checkpoint in Center Township by state police and the Butler County DUITask Force.Police said 227 cars were stopped during the detail between 11 p.m. Saturday and 4 a.m. Sunday.In addition to the DUIarrests, 15 traffic tickets and 31 warnings were issued; one person also was cited for underage drinking.3:50 a.m. Saturday — An unknown driver struck a utility pole along County Line Road in Clearfield Township. The crash damaged the pole and transformer. Police do not know what kind of vehicle was involved.Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Saturday — An unknown vandal damaged a mailbox and garage light at a Kiester Road home in Cherry Township. The vandalism occurred between 9 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.
3:10 p.m. Monday — Acar driven by Yuri Grossman, 17, of Grove City and a sport utility vehicle driven by Brian Kopta, 39, of Cochranton collided on North Liberty Road in Pine Township. Kelsey Adams, 14, of Grove City, a passenger in the SUV, suffered a minor injury. Grossman was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
