8:48 a.m. Sunday — Randey Lee Rosen, 42, is accused of assaulting his 42-year-old girlfriend, Renee Simon, during a domestic dispute at the couple's Hickory Street home. Rosen is charged with simple assault.Sunday — Three vehicles were broken into while parked in the Butler Memorial Hospital parking garage on East Brady Street. In all three cases, the thief or thieves smashed out windows to enter the vehicles. The victims included an Evans City woman who had a purse with $120 stolen, an Oakland Township woman who had a wallet with credit cards and personal information stolen and a Pittsburgh woman who had a makeup bag valued at $150 stolen. The thefts were reported between 2:23 and 3:02 p.m.

5:24 a.m. Sunday — Joseph Saeler, 39, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 68 in Oakland Township.1:30 a.m. Sunday — Joseph Charles Weber, 39, of Sarver was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Leasureville Road in Winfield Township.1:28 a.m. Sunday — Dale Yarger, 53, of Karns City was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 68 in Chicora.9:45 p.m. Saturday — A16-year-old Evans City boy was treated at UPMC Passavant Cranberry for head and facial injuries suffered in a fight with a 17-year-old Saxonburg boy on Sunmine Road in Clinton Township. Police said the older boy is charged with simple assault.2:10 a.m. Saturday — George Lucas, 33, of Cabot is accused of assaulting Laci McCandless, 25, of Cabot during a domestic dispute on Linn Avenue in Winfield Township. Police said Lucas is charged with simple assault.12:50 a.m. Saturday — Shawn Dixon Fennell, 32, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Whitestown Road and Hansen Avenue in Butler Township.Saturday — Police reported that someone stole six road signs in Fairview Township between Nov. 1 and Feb. 17. The signs are for Spruce, Pine, Polar, Buckeye, Aspen and Basswood roads. Anyone with information about the stolen road signs is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.3:30 p.m. Tuesday — A Brady Township woman, 31, was victimized by an online loan scam. Police said the woman applied via the Internet for a personal loan from a bogus company listing a false address in Omaha, Neb. The victim, to receive her loan, was required to first send collateral payments. The woman was scammed when she sent $1,620 by wire transfer to Canada, police said. The Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance, meanwhile, recently issued a warning of the loan scam, which apparently has taken in a number of victims nationwide. Nebraska officials say the companies call themselves Bennett Financial Group and Westmont Financial Group and list Omaha addresses, which have proved false.5 p.m. Feb. 25 — Walter Dean Schweizer, no age given, of Lakeville, Wayne County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 8 in Penn Township.

3:31 p.m. Saturday — Michael Besong, 36, of Rochester, Beaver County, was seriously injured when the car he was driving crashed and rolled over on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. Police said Besong, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out of the car, which landed on its wheels. Besong was taken to Grove City Medical Center before being flown by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth's Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. His condition was not known this morning.

12:34 p.m. Sunday — A 20-year-old Forestville man, whom police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Interstate 79 in Plain Grove Township. Apolice report noted that 30 stamp bags of heroin and drug paraphernalia also were found in the vehicle.
