Friday — Tyler Duane Smith, 24, of Butler is accused of using a stolen credit card to withdraw more than $400 from an automated teller machine at a South Main Street convenience store.Police said Smith made two unauthorized withdrawals of $201.50 just seven minutes apart Feb. 8. But the defendant told police he had the owner's permission to use the card.Smith is charged with access device fraud.

8:28 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by John Hamilton, 18, of Pittsburgh crashed into a barrier on Route 422 between Duffy and Mercer roads. Police said Hamilton, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, was cited for careless driving.9:04 a.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Joseph Borcz, 85, of Butler and Sharon Schwartz, 57, of Evans City collided at New Castle and Hindman roads.7:02 p.m. Friday — Crystal Drake, 24, of Butler and Heather L. Morgan, 27, of Portersville are accused of shoplifting merchandise at the Wal-Mart store in Butler Commons. Police cited both women for retail theft. Morgan was placed in the Butler County Prison after police found she was wanted on a warrant in Allegheny County.6:42 p.m. Friday — Vehicles driven by John Burket, 23, of Portersville and Beverly Pawson, 52, of Butler collided on New Castle Road. A passenger in Pawson's vehicle, who police did not identify, suffered a minor injury.9:28 a.m. Wednesday — Mark Nicholas Frank, 48, of Butler is accused of shoplifting two flashlights and five padlocks from Ollie's at Moraine Pointe Plaza.Frank drove away but was stopped by police on Alameda Park Road. A search, according to court documents, found him carrying two illegal weapons— a switchblade and a collapsible baton.Police, meanwhile, also suspect Frank stole a wireless headphone set from the Big Lots at Alameda Plaza.He is charged with two counts each of possessing prohibited offensive weapons and retail theft, and driving with a suspended license.

Friday — Police charged Charles Tankersley, 33, of Pittsburgh for allegedly stealing a $600 leather coat from an employee break room at the Giant Eagle store in Seven Fields.Court documents noted the theft about 1:20 a.m. Jan. 28 was captured on store surveillance video. Tankersley is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

Sunday — About $2,160 worth of tools and lumber were stolen from Gilmore Road in Marion Township. Thomas McDeavitt of Slippery Rock owns the property that was taken between 1:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.10:45 p.m. Feb. 22 — Jason A. Hoard, 32, of Parker was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a guardrail on Route 268 in Parker Township.

7:30 a.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Sandra Marlin, 61, of Indianapolis, Ind., crashed into a cement culvert in the median on Interstate 80 in Barkeyville, Venango County.
