3:36 a.m. Wednesday —Michael Paul Jason Chute, 30, is accused of threatening two people with a large butcher knife outside his West Brady Street apartment.

Police arrested Chute on charges of terroristic threats, carrying a prohibited offensive weapon, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned and placed in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond.

3:51 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Christopher Bullman, 24, of Monroeville, Allegheny County, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Marilyn Michel, 62, of Butler collided on Route 8 at the Picklegate Crossing bridge. The collision pushed Michel's vehicle into the rear of a car driven by Kathleen Stillman, 19, of Kittanning.Tuesday — Three people face retail theft charges in separate shoplifting incidents at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. The suspects are Heather Lynn Baldwin, 19, of Butler; David Chad Anthony, 19, of West Subury; and Carrie Mercatell, 33, of Cowansville, Armstrong County.
