2:24 a.m. Tuesday — Police arrested John Todd Tirk, 33, of Butler on a felony drug warrant at the Island Bar on South Washington Street in Butler. He is in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.The warrant was issued after police allegedly caught him Jan. 7 at the Lyndora Hotel with a large rock of suspected crack cocaine hidden in a cigarette box.The defendant told police that he had just bought the crack, according to court documents, and had not used any of it.Police on Jan. 20 charged him in the case with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.7:35 a.m. Monday — Avehicle driven by Conor Mahoney, 26, of Evans City struck a guardrail on snow-covered Fairground Hill Road. Police said Mahoney was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

Friday — Six people were arrested for driving under the influence during roving DUI patrols in Butler County.Officers stopped 92 vehicles as part of the detail. In addition to the DUI arrests, there were six citations for underage drinking, three for public drunkenness and four for disorderly conduct.Thirty-nine traffic citations and 46 traffic warnings were issued. Also, officers arrested one suspect wanted on a warrant and assisted other departments in separate robbery and drug cases.

9:15 a.m. Tuesday — Kurt Ryan Kelly, 30, of Petrolia was arrested for allegedly assaulting 29-year-old Crystal Webb of Petrolia at a Hindman Road home in Concord Township. Kelly was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in Butler County Prison on $1,500 bond.Tuesday — An unknown thief stole a golf bag and clubs valued at $1,300 from the bed of a pickup truck. The theft occurred between 10:35 a.m. and 2 p.m.; but police do not known where it happened. Gregory Hesidence of Clearfield Township owns the stolen property.Tuesday — Police said Marc Anthony Blodgett, 22, of Petrolia is accused of taking a $500 drum set from the basement of a Henley Drive home in Center Township. The theft occurred between July 2008 and last week. Blodgett faces charges of theft and receiving stolen property, police said.3:26 p.m. Monday — A minivan driven by Amy I. Early, 40, of Slippery Rock and a school bus driven by Anna C. Dietz, 68, of West Sunbury collided on Coaltown Road in Cherry Township. No one, including two children riding the bus, was injured. Police said Early was cited for improperly entering a road.Monday — Police filed drug-related charges in a pair of cases against Scott D. Rimer, 34, of Butler.Rimer, according to court documents, sold crack cocaine to an undercover officer on Nov. 13 and 21 at the Super 8 Motel on Route 8 South.District Judge Kevin O'Donnell issued arrest warrants for Rimer, who is charged with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.8:27 a.m. Feb. 16 — A car driven by Dawn M. Stewart, 33, of Petrolia and a tractor-trailer driven by Crystal Linscombe, 38, of Katy, Texas, collided on ice-covered Route 268 in Petrolia. Police said Stewart was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Feb 16 — An engine hoist was stolen from 210 Daisy Lane in Connoquenessing Township. John B. Hindman of Renfrew owns the stolen property.Feb. 15 — Someone between Feb. 13 and 15 broke into and damaged the home of Russell Allynn Connell at Kelly and Barron roads in Slippery Rock Township.
