James Glenn Stants
James Glenn Stants, 65, of Sligo passed away Saturday morning at the Butler Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born Aug. 9, 1943, in Brookville, he was the son of the late James Clifford and Violet Best Stants.
He was Protestant by faith.
He was a graduate of the Keystone School District at Knox.
Glenn began a lifelong occupation as a truck driver at the age of 18. In the early 1990s, he was presented the Million-Miler Award for driving more than one million miles accident-free. He retired from his last employer, Triangle Gas Co. of Butler, in August 2008 because of ill health.
Mr. Stants was a member of the Callensburg-Licking Township Volunteer Fire Department and was active in assisting with the annual ATV rides to earn money for the department.
An avid ATV rider, he and his wife were members of the ATV Traction Club, Venango Chapter.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris Hudson Stants, whom he married May 9, 1970; one son, James Lonnie "Jim" Stants and his special friend, Amy Vincent and her two children of Parker; a grandson, James Edward Justin Stants and a granddaughter, Amanda Brooke Stants, both of Parker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Sue Stants, who passed away accidentally Dec. 16, 1981.

Jack Buzard Funeral Home Inc.</B>, Wayne Street, Parker. Funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev.
