Mazzanti

Gertrude E. Mazzanti, 94, of Butler passed away Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, July 25, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Charlotte Mohan Myers.

A homemaker, she formerly was employed at the Spaide Shirt Factory.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by four sons, Ronald Mazzanti and his wife, Sherry, of Stuart, Fla., Dennis Mazzanti of Virginia Beach, Va., David Mazzanti and his wife, Barbara, of Butler and Richard Mazzanti and his wife, Linda, of Butler; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Mazzanti, who passed away in 1973; four brothers; and two sisters.

<B>MAZZANTI</B> — Friends of Gertrude E. Mazzanti, who died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. AMass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father James Dolan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to conduct a scriptural wake service.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
