7:34 p.m. Monday — Ronald Earl Benjamin, 54, of Butler is accused of violating a protection from abuse order when he allegedly ran up to a truck that his daughter was riding in on South Cliff Street and started punching it while screaming obscenities.Karoline Moore, 28, of Butler, who earlier obtained the PFA against her father, called 911 and officers arrested Benjamin. He was arraigned for the PFA violation and released on $2,000 unsecured bond.10:20 a.m. Monday — Amanda Prokop of Butler said someone took a purse from her car while it was parked on East New Castle Street.12:21 a.m. Sunday — Angela Nicole Wilson, 19, of Hilliards was arrested for driving under the influence on Goldwood Avenue. Police said Wilson also faces charges for DUIby a minor, underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia.In the same traffic stop, police arrested Rachel Rene Kastelic, 21, of Karns City, a front seat passenger, who was wanted on a warrant. Police said she also was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.Meanwhile, a back seat passenger, a 17-year-old Clay Township girl who police did not identify, was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and underage drinking.
1:31 a.m. Saturday — Jeffrey Schnell, no age given, of Sarver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Sarver Road. Police said Schnell also was cited for careless driving and driving on the wrong side of the road.Butler Twp Police6:18 p.m. Monday — John Didomenico, no age given, of Ambridge, Beaver County, swerved his vehicle to avoid a deer on Route 8 South near Decatur Drive, and hit the end of the concrete barrier at the bottom of Armco hill.3:40 p.m. Monday — Vehicles driven by Mark Wilson, 21, of Renfrew and Justin Konieczny, no age given, of Butler collided at Duffy and Evans City roads. Police cited Wilson for running a red light.
12:33 a.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Jillian Goncz, 25, of Butler struck a snowbank, rolled over, hit a mailbox and landed on its roof on Route 268 in Fairview Township. Goncz allegedly fled the crash site, leaving the pickup behind.Goncz, police said, was cited for hit-and-run, driving too fast for conditions, driving on the wrong side of the road, a lane violation, failure to immediately notify police of an accident and abandoning a vehicle.8:45 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Eileen M. Hartle, 60, of Chicora struck a guardrail on ice-covered Route 68 near O'Donnell Road in Donegal Township.7:30 a.m. Jan. 28—A car driven by Crystal D. Frankenstein, 25, of Zelienople crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.
