John Frank Haggard, 37, died Sunday after a brief illness.

John was an 1989 graduate of John Marshall High School in Rochester, Minn.

He was a resident of Austin, Texas, and was employed by Austin Canoe and Kayak.

John was a fun-loving outdoors man. He enjoyed fishing, hunting trips and whitewater and river kayaking.

John is survived by his mother, Kathy R. Haggard of Butler; his father, Paul L. Haggard of Reading; his brothers, Andrew J. Haggard of Duluth, Minn., and Thomas R. Haggard of Pittsburgh; his sister, Ellen M. Ruggles of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Leona M. Bish; and his aunt, Laura J. Andrusis.

<B>HAGGARD</B> — Services for John Frank Haggard, who died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 877 Franklin Road, Slippery Rock.Arrangements are being handled by <B>Austin-Peel Funeral Home</B>, Austin, Texas.
