Elizabeth "Beth" K. Bauer, 81, of Palm Springs, Fla., died Saturday.

Born Sunday, June 12, 1927, in Butler, she was the daughter of Isaac Dewitt Kelley and Floy E. Whitten. She moved to Lake Worth, Fla., 52 years ago.

She retired from the Palm Beach County School Board several years ago, and her greatest joy was being a grandmother to Kelli.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen and Sue Ellen, as well as her granddaughter, Kelli Rogers. She also is survived by her caregiver, Linda Niaco, and several amazing friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter A. Bauer, who passed away in March 2007, and by her oldest daughter, Carolyn, in July 2005.

Bauer, who died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLERFUNERALHOME</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler.
