David and Dianne Brothers

David and Dianne Brothers of Mount Chestnut recently celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Brothers married the former Dianne Shaffer on Jan. 24, 1969, at the Mount Olive Church in Connellsville. The Rev. Arthur Schultz officiated.

They have one daughter, Amanda Brewster of Mount Chestnut.

Brothers is retired from the G.C. Murphy Co.

Mrs. Brothers worked in key management for the Hills Department Store.

The couple now owns and operates the Hickory Woods Eating Room in Mount Chestnut.
