Aleta J. Burd Rodgers

Aleta Jean (Burd) Rodgers, 60, of Sarver died Sunday at the ACMH Hospital.

Born June 1, 1948, in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of Dorothy Jean (Frampton) Burd and the late William Burd.

She retired from the Armstrong School District after 35 years of teaching.

She liked reading and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her companion of 15 years, Terry Jack of Sarver; her mother of Sarver; a son, William Rodgers and his wife, Mylissa, of Cowansville; two daughters, Kristine Smith and her husband, Shawn, of Plum and Kathy Rodgers of Sarver; four grandchildren, Benjamin Davis, Alexander Smith, Bobby Rodgers and Jessica Rodgers; a brother and his wife, Leonard and Jane Burd of Sarver; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Linda (Burd) Thompson.

<B>RODGERS </B>— Friends of Aleta Jean (Burd) Rodgers, who died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home</B>, Kittanning. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Arlyn Eisenbrandt officiating. Interment will be at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Richard G.
