Viola 'Vi' Davis
Viola "Vi" Davis, 84, of Golden Hills Nursing Home in New Castle, formerly of Leesburg, died at 5:43 p.m. Saturday at Golden Hills.
Born May 6, 1924, in Butler County, she was the daughter of Howard E. Graham and Maude J. Davis.
Her husband, Russell Clarence "Barney" Davis, who she married July 10, 1954, died Oct. 24, 1980.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Leesburg Presbyterian Church.
She had worked in food services at Westminster College and at the Grove City School District.
Surviving are a sister, Flora Belle Bartley of Ellwood City; 10 nieces; and six nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Frank, Eugene, James, Earl and Arthur Graham; and five sisters, Hollis Wimer, Grace Shidemantle, Ruth McCune, Anna Widdowson and Marie Graham; a niece; and four nephews.
<B>DAVIS</B> — Visitation for Viola "Vi" Davis, who died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 1778 Perry Highway, village of Leesburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Gomola, pastor of Leesburg Presbyterian Church, officiating.
