Dr. Paul and Gertrude Suorsa

Dr. Paul and Gertrude Suorsa of Slippery Rock will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Suorsa married the former Gertrude Ullrich on Jan. 24, 1959, at St. Mary Catholic Church in New Castle.

They have four children, Katherine Super of Lynchburg, Va.; Richard Suorsa of Fairport, N.Y.; Susan Brydon of Butler and Dr. Daniel Suorsa of Slippery Rock.

They also have eight grandchildren.

Suorsa is retired from working as a veterinarian. He belongs to the Rotary Club and the PA Farm Bureau.

Mrs. Suorsa is retired from working as the office manager of the veterinarian office.

The Suorsas are currently goat and donkey breeders and are involved in local Republican Party activities.
