Ralph S. Choffo
Ralph S. Choffo, 61, of Butler passed peacefully in his sleep early morning Dec. 6 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.
Ralph was born and raised in Harrison, N.J. He and his wife, Maryanne, lived in Penn Township for most of their 40-year marriage.
He served as an Army officer with both the 101st Airborne and the 1st Calvary divisions. Ralph was decorated with a bronze star and Purple Heart during his tour in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as a captain in 1973.
Mr. Choffo had a successful career in industrial sales and related management positions prior to his illness. He also co-founded A&C Fluid Power in Saegertown.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Purple Heart Association, the Penn Township Veteran's Association and assisted with the Nixon United Methodist Church Boy Scout Troop 53 in Penn Township in various roles, including treasurer.
He was the devoted husband of Maryanne, loving father of Patricia Choffo, James Choffo and his wife, Heather, Pop-Pop of Jacqueline and Andrew Choffo, son of the late James and Florance Choffo, brother of Jacqueline Laczny and her husband, Robert, and Madeline Anello, and brother of the late Vincent Choffo, all of New Jersey.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler. Arrangements are by <B>GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, </B>201 E.
