Mary Regis

Mary Regis, 88, formerly of Clinton Avenue, passed away on Sunday evening at the Lowrie House, Butler.

Born in Sicily on Feb. 2, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Concettina Gregory Vicari.

A homemaker, she formerly was employed at the Spaide Shirt Factory and was a seamstress at Bobbie Brooks.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the 55 and Alive group of St. Michael's.

She is survived by one son, Reno Regis Jr. of California; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Toni) Graham of Butler and Darlene Bruno of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; one sister, Mrs. Rose Macefe Sommariva of Butler; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Bruno of Florida and Elizabeth Stumpf of Reading; and one great-granddaughter, Logan Stumpf of Reading.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reno Regis Sr., who passed away Aug. 27, 1985; four brothers; one sister; and one grandson.

<B>REGIS</B> — Friends of Mary Regis, who died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father James Dolan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Parish will conduct a scriptural wake service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
