WPIAL baseball brackets 2025: Butler, Knoch, Seneca Valley and more matchups, sites, times, tickets
Butler baseball gets a week to prepare for the WPIAL tournament and a new foe in the first round May 19.
The Golden Tornado (10-8) earned the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 Norwin in the eight-team bracket. The site and time of the opening game will be determined later. Butler did not face the Knights this season.
Butler County will be represented by five in the WPIAL championships. Along with the Tornado, Seneca Valley (13-6) earned the third seed in 6A, Mars (8-10) is 15th in Class 5A, No. 8 Knoch (10-10) will be the home team in a 4A first-round game and Freeport (13-6) was seeded 13th in 3A.
One of the more intriguing seedings was the Yellowjackets, who ended in a five-way tie atop Section 3-3A but earned one of the lower seeds. Burrell was seeded No. 8, Mt. Pleasant No. 12, Ligonier Valley No. 10 and Deer Lakes No. 6.
All championship games will be held at EQT Park in Washington, Pa., between May 27-28.
Tickets for all games through the semifinals can be purchased online at gofan.co/WPIAL for $7 for adults, $5 for students. Tickets purchased at the gate are $7. Tickets for the consolation and championship games cost $10.
