Freda M. Coleman
Freda McCanna Coleman, 86, formerly of Cornell Drive, Butler, and a resident of Sugar Creek Rest Home for the past 11 years, died at 6:29 a.m. Sunday in the Sugar Creek Rest Home.
Born July 17, 1922, in East Brady, she was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Edna V. McElroy McCanna.
Mrs. Coleman attended the Christ Community United Methodist Church. She had been a member of TOPS for many years and the Clarion County Campers.
She was a homemaker.
Freda married Ray W. Coleman, who preceded her in death May 22, 1996.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Janet Jack and her husband, Berton; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Panei of Butler and Mrs. Blanche Wiles of East Brady; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan E. Smith; a brother, Clifton McCanna; and two sisters, Margaret Wilson and Mildred Bernard.
<B>COLEMAN</B>— Friends and family of Freda McCanna Coleman, who died Sunday Dec. 14, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at <B>The Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with her nephew, the Rev. Tom Pesci of the Regular Baptist Church in East Brady, officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
